Veteran Ecomobile meets veteran racer! The legendary John Surtees, still the only man to win premier class world championships on both two wheels and four, with the earliest surviving 1987 Peraves Ecomobile at Mercedes World, which is situated in the middle of the old Brooklands banked circuit and airfield. The occasion was a charity karting event in aid of the Henry Surtees Foundation. Andy Tribble (left) owns the Ecomobile, which is a 'sister machine' to the 'Old Blue Machine' that I learnt to ride for the Top Gear TV feature, way back in March 1988. (See Top Gear filming folder).
