One old toolbox

I was just taking some pictures of the lower subframe and the fuel tank space, for Project leader Colin Russell, when I noticed the "Hewland" sticker on the toolbox behind. Bit of a nostalgia rush there. I would have put the sticker on that box - which I bought second-hand for a fiver from another F.1 mechanic - in 1971. Or maybe 1970...

Quite approprate really, Monoliner will out-brake and out-turn any current motorised bicycle and adds 90 BHP to the frontal area of an NSU Hammock, so it should be terrifyingly fast. But the constructional technology is identical to a 1970 F.3 car.

I guess we'll have to do the next one as a rivetted and glued alloy sheet monocoque, get up to 1975 like...
