'Cabriolet' Monotrace

This is a 'cabriolet' Monotrace; there were others made that were fully enclosed. The Monotrace was made in France in the 1920s under licence from the original German manufacturer, EinspurAuto. 'Einspur' means 'Single Track' in German, and 'Monotrace' means the same thing in French.
Arnold Wagner used the word for his Ecomobile magazine, 'Einspur Zeitung' - The Monotrack Times. His sons, Felix and Urs, have also chosen the name 'MonoTracer' for the new-body Ecomobile launched in 2006.
I have a French Moto Legende magazine with a great road test of one of these machines. The writer said it was amazingly stable but the biggest problem was the lack of leaning clearance in corners - the outriggers touch down very easily even when fully retracted, apparently. Nevertheless, an obvious fore-runner to the Ecomobile.
