Trib with his Silver Wing & the Blez Burger King (2003)
Submitted by paulblez on 19-Mar-08 2:13pmFormer Silver Wing and 'Steaming Mango' Gold Wing Phasar owner Andy Tribble shows what the average advertising executive almost certainly does not wear on his superscooter. This head on shot shows how much narrower the (maroon) Silver Wing is compared to the Burgman 650, although the Burger King's mirrors can be pulled right back to make it easier to squeeze through tight spots. The Burger also has more space under the seat and a much more stable chassis, although it's heavier too.
Quasar restoration
Submitted by Brian on 14-Mar-08 11:33amAn introduction
Hi All
Just become a member
I have been interested in Quasars since the beginning (late 70's) when a guy living opposite me owned one.
A stroke stopped me from buying Paul’s when it was up for auction (and the price) but I have kept in touch with Mark since then attending one gathering and lending a hand at the Quasar Garage whenever I have visited Mark.
So what am I doing on this list?
1) I have built more Quasars than anyone else (OK - OK so they are only models)
2) Mark and I currently own the SOLO QUASAR and with the blessing of the Newell family I have undertaken to restore it to its former glory.

6 Quasars & Suzuki GS 1000 Phasar (2005)
Submitted by paulblez on 30-Jan-08 9:42amWhite Suzuki GS1000 Phasar with a fine collection of six Quasars during the 2005 Quasar & FF rally at Laughton, East Sussex. This machine actually started life as a Mk2 Quasar, with a roof. Handling leaves something to be desired, but it's very comfortable.

Big Twin Guzzi Quasar
Submitted by paulblez on 30-Jan-08 9:28amI snapped this photo in Malcolm Newell's workshop circa 1986. We think it might actually be the Guzzi Convert Phasar in a new guise, but we're not sure. We know that Malcolm "robbed" the Tait hub centre steering off the Convert for another project, but we're not certain that it was then turned into this Twin Head Steer big twin Quasar-Guzzi. Nor do we have any idea where it is in 2008......PNB.

Rolling it down the road to the van I got good control, feet up, at walking pace. It will be driveable at low speed!

Lynch EVFF meets Quasar (2008)
Submitted by paulblez on 04-Jan-08 1:14pmI took my Quasar to meet Cedric Lynch's lightweight FF and had a second ride in his electric-powered one-off. Cedric had a sit in the heavyweight Quasar but didn't attempt to ride it! In this pic we are each sat in our own vehicles. PNB.
