By the time I'd raced at three circuits in the 2003 Moto Tour de France, I'd worn right through the fairing beneath the footboard on the Burger King. I didn't fall off, but I didn't win either! I was scratching this hard to hold station mid-field in the big scooter class against demon racers, veterans with experience of endurance racing and the Isle of Man TT on conventional bikes.....This photo was taken during post-race euphoria at the Alès circuit in the south of France.
