Then there's a little matter of bodywork, reproducing in GRP a virtual shape that's just generated some really good CFD results - like more download than lift out of the box. Obviously you don't get to see that, aerodynamics are the real secret, anyone can cut and weld steel, it's "almost simple" acording to Honad, begging the question of why they haven't managed it yet.
This new location represents the end of the simple "grunt" phase, where most of the money spent goes on labour. Next comes the expenditure on GRP materials and then the actual race componentry, callipers, electronics, tyres, paint and assembly. Building FF racers isn't cheap, until you consider how much it costs to build a road-going FF!
