Mk2 Monoliner motor

For my sins I've always focussed on efficiency, ergonomics, practicality, in the certain knowledge that Malcome Newell will be shaking his head and muttering "too slow, not enough power".

But now we're doing a completely impractical, single seat, Track Day special, for the PTW race formula that doesn't quite exist yet (but watch the Americans!), there's no point in holding back.

So here's a pic. of the Mk11 Monoliner motor, rear view, showing the shaft drive take off. Narrower than the puny 90 brake F800 motor and allowing a substantially shorter wheelbase. 180 BHP in road form, 240 in race spec., allied to Monoliner frontal area, even Malcom will approve of this.

Yes, yes. It's the stock Aprillia V4, available in scrapyards for not a huge amount. Lots about, in production. And you're right, the motorised bicycle people run it sideways with chain drive (How quaint) but what do they know?
