After many years, decades even, on light duties in Derbyshire 04 has a new, Scottish, owner and has come home for a full update and re-fit. Interesting to see how it's fared. Needs re-powder coating in some areas, a few new rubber bushes, and the steering joint rubbers have perished. It's going to get a Mk11 hub conversion kit, a Weber carb and intake update, and if these increasingly rare parts can be found, a ten spring clutch and 8:33 final drive. The cooling system will be uprated to the very latest layout and a host of detail refurbishments done.

On the whole it's in much better shape than the average 28 year-old Honad - or Volvo
