Ecomobile Training Wheels

After a rather long gestation period that started nearly a year ago during a meeting at the 2015 NEC bike show, the new Eco training wheel has been successfully trialed on an old WW2 airfield somewhere in Lincolnshire.
A joint effort by myself, Colin Russell, (appointed Eco trainee), Andy Tribble (Eco instructor) and Roy Gardiner who did most of the fabrication work whilst Eco was in his workshop in Derbyshire. The system has the advantage of having an adjustable wheel height and also a lock out maintenance position that allows the bike to be moved within the workshop with the main undercarriage wheels and or gear removed.
It seems to work well and the fall over is controlled. The Spring rate is a little soft if anything, so this may be changed for something a little harder.
Driving Eco with the training wheels in place has some restrictions and the wheel decking out in a turn is not desirable as it makes the bike run wide. More pictures and maybe a video soon
