You have to start somewhere, typically with the engine. But this is going to be electric and I have no idea who will supply the motor or the batteries. But the motor will be a large disc and the batteries just need as much space as I can provide. However I do have an HCS front end so I've started with the bits that connect to that.

This view ahows the rear of the front structure, and you can see the steering arrangements, with the hand control mount directly on the Transverse arm. The batteries are going to be mounted on the 'keel' which will detach, to maximise the space in the front compartment, where a Reliant engine has fitted in the past. The four holes in the bottom of the lower panel are part of the connection between the frame and the keel. There may be more space for batteries behind the rider but I can't see how to get enough weight forward that way. This layout makes good weight distribution easy.

In the new year I'll do the outer panels of the front structure, they include the front suspension pick ups, then the lower fork and that'll be the front end done for the primary structure. The mid-section is pretty straightforward but I'll have to commit to a motor and mounting arrangement to do the rear. I'd like to mount the motor on the swing-arm, on the pivot, so the drive torque (Belt? Chain?) isn't loading the swing-arm pivots - to avoid 'power-steer' but it may not be practical. At some point I'll need to earn some money, but everybody has that problem.

Meanwhile I hope everybody survives the holiday and has a better new year!
