I've already been corrected on FB by the previous recipient, Colin Ferguson, of Delta Sunbeam fame: "It's actually the John Bruce FF Achievement Award; long distance, 100,000 mile, or whatever the previous holder deems appropriate." As I said there, I only referred to it as 'The Quasar Award' because it's a model of....a Quasar! I have now revised the wording here.
Colin was actually the first recipient of the award, and I was asked to present it to him at the 2019 BruceFFest Bash. See here: https://bikeweb.com/node/3552
