The Georgian FF (1978!)

An amazing FF find, posted to the Facebook group recently. A Georgian FF built by Vakhtang Dvalishvili from Kutaisi way back in 1978 and featured in the Russian TV programme " Это вы можете " "You can do it". It was based on a Vyatka 150 scooter with electronic ignition. At the time Georgia, homeland of Ioseb Dzhugashvili, (better known as Josef Stalin), was of course part of the Soviet Union. Now an independent nation on the east coast of the Black Sea. PNB

Good show!

Pretty neat no? Is this Morphic Resonance or did he see the BIKE magazine road test? That passenger (Child) seat would have imnposed a mighty drag penalty! Is it possibly a rear-engined (maybe scooter-based) layout, interesting single-sided rear suspension.

Yes, Vyatkas were Russian scooters.

Yes, it's scooter-based. I've added a load of info from Wikipedia about the range of standard Vyatka scooters to the new photo just uploaded: https://bikeweb.com/node/3752
A third photo shows that the rear 'hump' was detachable. PNB
