These BMW Stainless exhausts MIG weld really nicely, although the system will have to be Alloy sprayed and Sperexed before use otherwise the welds, an alloy of mild steel and stainless, will rust enthusiastically, just like certain aftermarket exhaust systems whose manufacturers are, like me, too tight to use stainless wire and pure Argon. My excuse is I'm only making one system....
This is the last job on the jig, done for ease of access. It'll be fitted with ride height stands next and go into the much larger garage for final subframes and fuel tank fabrication, before making the bodywork. Certain amount of garage re-organisation needed first so there'll be a break before further progress pictures.
Oh, and now you can see it's rear-engined, but that's been obvious for some time.
