Neracar auctioned for £11,000 (2017)

An immaculate 1920s Neracar about to be sold for £11,000 in the Bonham's auction at the Stafford Classic Bike Show in October 2017. Note the hub centre steering, and absence of front brake! PNB
Colin Ferguson adds: "There were three UK models of Neracar. The original 221cc, then a 285cc, (both two strokes), then a 350 side valve four stroke. The 350 can do at least 45mph. A friend up here in Scotland has two – a 285, and a 350. The American-made machines only ever had the 221, and a 255cc engine. The 350 has a conventional gearbox and clutch, unlike the two-stroke models."
(NB: The speedway bike behind the Neracar in the above photo was part of the Ivan Mauger collection that was sold in the same auction).
