Moto Tour de France 2003

Relaxing on the Burger King during a lull in the action of the week-long Moto Tour de France in October 2003.
It was a hell of a week, taking us the length of France from Paris to Toulon and racing on 40-odd closed road special stages day and night and three circuits, one of which was Le Mans! There was a special class for big scooters and the tuned Tmaxes proved to be the machines to beat. The class winner was a former TT racer, although a member of the Suzuki Endurance Racing Team gave a very good account of himself on a Burger King despite a prang in the wet on open roads. I wore right through the floorboards on my beast, but never dropped it once.
