Quasar 002 at PDQ, 31st Aug 2018

Larry Webb, founder and MD of PDQ in Taplow, Bucks, in Quasar 002, now owned by Gavin Newell. Gavin took it there for the fitting of a new rear tyre. Larry is a big bloke and you can see that he's a tight fit in the Quasar, even without a helmet. He recalled talking to Gavin's father Malcolm, the co-creator of the Quasar, about alternative, non-telescopic fork steering systems. Larry's creation 'Battlemax' famously 'stole the show' at the NEC back in 1994. It was a striking V-max-engined beast with Hossack-style steering. Cycle World magazine wrote about it in their March 1995 issue, here: https://magazine.cycleworld.com/article/1995/3/1/v-max-motor-powers-battlemax
