The 'Doctor' Quasar, (FHR 941W) in the IoM, 1981

This is Quasar FHR 941W when it was in 'DOCTOR' mode, back in 1981, more than 40 years ago now. It's almost certainly John Malfoy riding it, the man who designed the Quasar's distinctive rear light and who also put together most of the Romarsh Quasars, made in Calne, under licence from Wilson Bros of Bristol. This photo recently popped up on Facebook and was then shared to the Facebook FF group. This Quasar ended up in Holland for a long time, where it was discovered by Govert Gerritsen who heroically refurbished it, painted it yellow and got it back on the road. He rode it over to several UK FF meetings in the Noughties before selling it to Graham Fryer of FFelocette fame. You can see both yellow Quasars after a dramatic moment in the 2010 FF gathering, here: https://www.bikeweb.com/node/2040
