The 17th Bristol Classic Bike Show 1997 (in Shepton Mallet!)
This was the 17th Bristol Classic Bike Show, held in early 1997, but the first to be held at the agricultural showground in Shepton Mallet, some 20 miles to the south of Bristol. It was also the occasion of the unveiling of Royce Creasey's 'born again' prototype Voyager following its serious collision with a Fiat estate in 1989. Once green and Difazio-steered, it has since been yellow, with a Creasey HCS. Two of the 'production' Voyagers were also on display, along with the Flying Banana and a Honda Helix CN250.

FFs in Distinguished Gentleman's Rides, London
A worldwide annual event, the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride takes place in September and raises money for charity to fight prostate cancer. The first London one took place in 2013 and Andy Tribble rode his Ecomobile in it. He kindly lent it to PNB for the 2014 event and rode it himself again in 2015. In 2015 PNB rode the Mk2ComforTmax, kindly lent for the occasion by Rohit Jaggi.

BruceFFest Sept 2011
A rare gathering of FFs in South Wales and the West Country in September 2011. It was a movable feast, which started at John Bruce's Craft Renaissance Centre near Usk on the Saturday, and moved across the border into England on the Sunday to Chris Baker's Memorial Woodland site for elevenses, and on to Castle Combe for a pub lunch before finally ending at Heddington, home of the late FF prophet Malcolm Newell.

BBC TOP GEAR FF FILMING March-April 1988, UK
In April 1988 Paul Blezard wrote and presented a ten minute Top Gear TV feature about the 80 year history of Feet First motorcycles from the 1909 Wilkinson to the the then-new Creasey Voyager and Peraves Ecomobile. There were three venues for the filming: 1) The National Motorcycle Museum, from which William Woollard introduced the whole programme sitting in the museum's Quasar. The NMM also housed the 212mph world record breaking Triumph Bonneville Streamliner which was also shown at the end of the programme; 2) The Science Museum Annexe at Wroughton Aerodrome near Swindon and 3) Winterthur, Switzerland, home of Arnold Wagner and his brainchild the BMW-powered Peraves Oekomobil (as it was then called).
At Wroughton, which at the time housed the 1926 Avro Monocar, we gathered together some 16 FFs and other machines relevant to the theme including the unique 1954 Norton Kneeler or 'Silver Fish' and the then-new Honda Gold Wing 1500-6 and Yamaha FZR1000.
The FFs included three Quasars, both Difazio CX500s, several Phasars and Pete Lawrence's half-completed Talbot-engined, Difazio-steered Delta 930. PNBThere are 44 images in this gallery.

Blez FF talk to EKAM
A few photos from a presentation I (Paul Blezard) gave to the East Kent Advanced Motorcyclists at the Christmas 2013 meeting. The chief interest for most people here is probably the snaps of previous FF articles which I laid out for the talk. It was a reprise of the talk I gave to the IJMS conference in July 2013, using the same 75 images, but it lasted more than twice as long.
